The response to Ray Vaughn’s Hoe Era which comes less than 24 hours after the release of the latter, Joey is seen throwing shots at Ray’s camp, Top Dawg Entertainment, claiming that Ray uses his name for clout and that he has “done more for Ray than the whole of TDE”.
The diss includes multiple snubs at multiple former and current TDE representatives, including the boss Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, Reason, Daylyt and Kendrick Lamar.
The title of the track is also a reference to the east versus west angle of this battle. The NBA Finals are played between the winner of the East and West each year.
